Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. How do I install the game?
Easy. Just extract the zip file to wherever you want and you’re good to go.
Though chances are you’ve probably already done that...

Q2. How do I uninstall the game?
All you gotta do is delete your game folder.
But if you wanna go the extra mile and also delete all your savedata, delete the “sokoban” folder from your local content.
If you don’t know how to get there, press
+ R
to bring up the “Run...” window, then type in “%localappdata%”.

Q3. My antivirus is flipping its lid when I’m trying to launch the game!
There’s nothing I can personally do about that, I’m afraid.
I can assure you, however, that there are no viruses in my game, at least not to my knowledge. Just tell your antivirus to trust the executable.
If it’s a lot more persistent than that, you may have to turn it off while you’re playing, but don’t do that unless there's no other choice.

Q4. I got an error while trying to save or load a level or level pack!
You may get one or several error messages printed directly to the screen.
If that happens, you can check the “error.log” file in your local content for a more detailed description of what exactly went wrong. See Q2 for instructions on how to get to it.
If, on the other hand, the error you’ve gotten opens its own window before closing the game, please take a screenshot or make a copy of the error message and then send it to me!

Q5. Where is my savedata?
All under your local content. See Q2
for instructions on how to get to it.
Please note that “sokoban.cfg” and “sokoban.dat” are the savefiles for v0.50! The current version’s files are “sokoban2.cfg” and “sg_pack.rec” instead.

Q6. How do I change the in-game language?
Ordinarily, the game will be in English, unless your system language is
Japanese, in which case it’ll automatically switch to Japanese instead.
If you want to override that and play the game in the other language, hold down Ctrl at startup before any graphics appear on-screen. (The timing for that is rather strict, but you can simply try again by pressing ↹ Tab or Ctrl + R to reset the game.)
The language setting will then stay as it is until you close the game, but you can change it back by doing the same as above, with the difference that you hold down Alt instead.
